For those of you who love to sail, St. Maarten / St. Martin is the ideal destination for a Diving / Sailing vacation. No Boat? No problem! St. Maarten / St. Martin is home to all of the major yacht charter companies which do both crewed and bareboat charters. St. Maarten / St. Martin is also the home base for many Mega-Yachts. With 2 locations on island The Scuba Shop has got you covered. In Oyster Pond we are located on Captain Oliver's Marina, right next door to Sunsail and The Moorings. Our Simpson Bay location is in La Palapa Marina, just minutes by dinghy or car to Princess Marina, Isle de Sol Marina and Simpson Bay Marina. With your own gear onboard, you can “Dive where you want, when you want….” You can find great Rental Rates on complete scuba sets or individual pieces all in excellent condition. And for those of you who need to complete your Referral Dives, would like a Refresher Course or would like a professional to handle gear, a Divemaster or Instructor can join you onboard. Dive Safaris has been successfully feeding the sharks around St Maarten since 1998. This afternoon single tank dive takes place twice a week (see schedule). During this dive, you will have the chance to see 15 to 30 sharks being fed by our professional feeders. Most of the sharks attending the feeding are Caribbean Reef Sharks and Sharp Nose sharks ranging from 3 to 8 feet in length. The dive lasts around 30-40min. and the depth of the dive site is 55' /17m. You will need to be at least a certified diver and have dived within the last 2 years to take part in this dive. Come and meet the shark feeders who will be happy to share their passion for these incredible animals.
